Dishwasher problems worth describing clearly
A dishwasher may fail before the cycle begins, stop after filling, leave standing water, wash poorly, leak or finish without drying. The most useful description explains exactly when the problem appears. State whether the door latches, whether water enters, whether spray action can be heard and whether the unit drains at the end. Also mention cloudy glassware, food remaining on dishes, detergent that does not dissolve, unusually long cycles, grinding, humming or a recurring error code. These problems may involve water supply, drainage, circulation, heating, sensing, door sealing or electronic controls. Because several systems operate during one cycle, the final cause should not be assumed from one problem alone. Note whether the household water supply, sink drain or disposal behavior changed at the same time, but do not dismantle connections just to test a theory.
