Describe the GE problem and configuration
The clearest way to describe a GE problem is to record the failed function rather than a guessed component. For a dryer, identify gas or electric operation and note whether the drum turns, heat is produced, noise changes or the cycle stops early. Include when the problem started, whether it appears on every cycle or setting and whether another part of the appliance still works normally. The complete error message is more useful than a shortened code, and the full model number is more useful than the product nickname. Do not repeatedly operate an appliance that is leaking, overheating, sparking or producing a gas odor; follow appropriate safety steps and describe the condition in the request.
